Where Is The Caribbean?The Caribbean region consists of the Caribbean Sea and its many islands, as well as adjoining continental beach areas. The Caribbean is bounded on the north by the Bahamas, on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, on the south by South America, and on the west by Central America. To the northwest lie Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico. The major islands of the Caribbean include the Greater Antilles in the north and the Lesser Antilles in the east.
